HotDamnLife is a travel blog run by three friends who met on a plane and decided to build the kind of travel guide we always wished we’d had. We write about where to go, what to do once you’re there, and how to plan a trip without overthinking it or overspending.
We’ll be straight with you: we’re a small team, not a big travel-media brand, and we’re still early in this. Honestly, we like it that way.
How HotDamnLife started
The whole thing started on a flight. The three of us ended up sitting together, got talking, and didn’t really stop until we landed. In the weeks after, one idea kept coming back: we should write this stuff down and share it.
So we started HotDamnLife from zero. No audience, no roadmap, just three people who love to travel and wanted to build something together. That’s still where we are, and we’d rather tell you that honestly than pretend we’ve been at this for decades.

How we think about travel
Our view is simple: travel doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated to be worth it. We’d rather help you plan a trip you can actually afford and genuinely enjoy than sell you a postcard version of it.
We write the way we’d explain a place to a friend, plainly and without the marketing gloss. If somewhere isn’t worth the hype, we’ll say so.
